TRAVELLING LIGHT! Some of our residents have voiced their concern over cyclists in the area, who either have faulty lights or no lights at all. Please make sure, for your own safety as well as that of pedestrians and other road users, that your lights are in working order. Also if your children ride bicycles, please check their lights as well. |

UPDATE ON PHONE MASTS As at 11th October, T-Mobile’s application to erect a mast on Milngavie Road was rejected. Des McNulty approached the Scottish Executive on our behalf and was given an assurance that if there is an appeal, the Residents’ Association will be informed. A site which was acceptable to the Residents’ Association (150m down the road to the Sports Centre) was turned down by the council, as it is on council land. The Residents’ Association feels strongly that the time has come to challenge East Dunbartonshire Council’s policy with regard to their total ban on masts on property or land which is owned by the council. · As of 2nd November we have learned that T-Mobile have lodged an appeal against the Council’s decision. We will keep you informed of any further developments. |

PARKED CARS I have again been asked to mention the difficulty of parking in our area. Wherever possible we would ask that you park in your drive, although I’m sure everyone appreciates that this is not always feasible. The main concerns must surely be where vehicles are parked on corners, or are double parked - again, we just hope that everyone will be as considerate as possible. |
