4 CORRESPONDENCE
Letter received from Mr. Stewart stating he is writing to Sue Bruce in support of Residents’ Association re-development at Burnbrae Lane.
5 TREASURERS’S REPORT
The Association’s Financial Year ended on 31st January. At that date, Cash in Bank was £3,753.02. (31/1/2005 = £3,741.71). However, when Depreciation of Fixed Assets is taken into account, the balance sheet shows a loss of £201.75 for the year (31/1/2005 = surplus £291.48). (Unaudited - the books will shortly be passed to the Auditors for examination).
We have received £1,432 in Subscriptions = 358 houses (last year 381)
It should be noted that I have not received any subscription money from:
John Haddow [42,44,46,48-76 Mosshead Road + 81,83,85,87,89,91 Hawthorn Ave] (received at meeting)
Lilias Davie 38-90 Kilmardinny Crescent
I have also not received the forms from Iain Wardrope, so will not be able to prepare a named list for next year for that area.
6 PHONE MAST APPEAL
Linda Packer, Flora Frame and Ian McGregor met with the reporter, Nigel Hooper and a representative from a different phone company. No progress was made and the matter is still on-going.
7 PALS UPDATE
Andy McGregor resigning from committee but will stay on PALS committee.
Application for landfill money rejected but can re-apply.
PALS is still being set up.Next meeting is on 23/2. Need legal documents to get charitable status, then bank account can be set up. Have to decide how to split money between loch and park
Can write to Community Council for funds.
A plan has been submitted to both local councillors- no reply as yet.
Development of Kilmardinny Strip by Cala homes could release funds..
8 BEARSDEN AND MILNGAVIE RESIDENTS’ GROUPS PUBLIC MEETING
Meeting held on 20/2. Amanda Stewart [Baljaffray] keen to form forum of residents’ groups to push council.Have interim committee. 3rd Tuesday in month for meetings.
Should complain to council re suggested 2 week rubbish collection.
9 BURN’S SUPPER REPORT
A highly successful evening much enjoyed by all who attended.
Ian McGregor and Flora Frame commended for excellent chairmanship and reply to “toast to the lassies” respectively.

Guides want money to replace steps at guide hut
Road at Asda to be dug up.
Victor has timetable for no. 850 bookable bus.
Plans for new Bearsden Academy are available. New school expected in 2008.
Permission to demolish house in Grange Rd. refused.
No-one to take over Costcutters.
