Minutes of meeting held on Tuesday 13th June in Milngavie Bowling Club

1    APOLOGIES

2    MINUTES OF LAST COMMITTEE MEETING

4    CORRESPONDENCE

       Letter from council seeking confirmation that we still have Residents’ Association.

 

5    TREASURER’S REPORT

       A.G.M. at Kilmardinny House paid (£70.50)

       Insurance paid (£407.50)

       In bank £3311.78

 

6    SUBSCRIPTIONS

       Mark Keddie to be asked to take on Beech Ave.

 

7    SOCIAL EVENTS

       Ceilidh             Tickets £10-£12.50. Profits from raffle to go to charity.

       Pantomime     Aladdin - £15 per ticket - 4th Dec.

 

8    NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH

       Nothing to report.

 

9    PALS

       Andy spoke to concerned lady at top of Mosshead Rd. and she is reassured. Last meeting held on 30/5. Waiting to get charity status. Now at position 4 out of 300 applications. Memorandum has been written and has to be signed in presence of solicitor. A leaflet has been prepared for delivery to houses to inform them of proposals. An article has been published in the Milngavie and Bearsden Herald. A plan and timetable have been drawn up. Loch management plan can be implemented sooner than park plan. £1000 has been promised from Community Council. This will initially come to Residents’ Association. East Community Council initially promised £500. As yet this has not been given and they will need to be contacted. Next meeting is on 22/6.They are keeping in touch with Keith Scrymgeor and councillors. 2 playpark equipment manufacturers are preparing estimates.

 

10  COMMUNITY COUNCIL

       New Bearsden Academy site not yet decided.

       Keith Scrymgeor has said PALS could get money from WIAT scheme. Money also available from Provost’s fund – ask Pat Steel.

       No police present.

       Suggestion made that money should be used to set up award scheme for community work by schoolchildren.

       Mike Doig to be invited to next Residents’ meeting – interested in involving children in Loch work.

 

11 MOSSHEAD A.G.M.

       Large attendance

       No police

       PALS mentioned. No apparent interest in being involved.

       Bin collections not mentioned

 

12 A.O.C.B.

       Membership cards to be obtained

       Roads: Oak Ave is to be re-done. Roads with most complaints get priority.

 

13 NEXT MEETING

            Tuesday 26th September at 7.30 in Milngavie Bowling Club.
