CORRESPONDENCE Alison Ward suggested various items for newsletter. East Dunbartonshire Council communications were received regarding Voluntary Services and Joint Community Care. Victor agreed to consider attending meeting in Milngavie on June 14th. |

NEWSLETTER Newsletter should include work done by Residents’ Association such as phone mast campaign and concerns over development of new Bearsden Academy. Flora provided draft of items for inclusion. A questionnaire asking for interest social activities such as Burn’s supper, senior citizens’ pantomime, ceilidh [proposed date Sat. 27th October] should be included. Also ask what other activities residents would like, e.g. Easter egg hunt, Teddy Bears’ picnic, Hallowe’en party, Xmas party, treasure hunt. A list of committee members e-mail addresses, addresses, phone numbers, and territories covered should be included for residents to reply to questionnaire. An update on PALS should be included as well as the timescale for collection of subscriptions. |

COMMUNITY COUNCIL LINKS At A.G.M. concerns were voiced over housing density in Kilmardinny strip and lack of sporting facilities during development of new Bearsden Academy. At next Community Council meeting problem of local parking will be discussed. Mosshead Residents’ Association A.G.M. will be held on 30th May. |

PALS Wild flowers have been planted and grass cutters asked to leave uncut strip for wild flowers. On Sun. 5th August E.D.C. park rangers are holding an event. Flora drafted a Letter of support to Pals and this has helped them in their application for funding. It was agreed that Burnbrae Residents Association would donate £300 to PALS and monies raised by any charity event held by residents, such as ceilidh, could be donated to PALS as they are a registered charity. |

A.O.C.B. Discussion ensued about the property at 21 Hawthorn Avenue that has fallen into disrepair and appears to be in a dangerous condition. Owner is recluse and not interested in maintaining property. Residents’ Association will write to local councillor. At September meeting the purchase of new equipment will be discussed. On the matter of annual maintenance of the equipment we require to establish if PAT testing is necessary. Mike Newell and Amanda Stewart will be invited to September meeting. |
